The professor insisted that he could not believe the testimony of former comfort women. People who remained silent during a considerable period changed the story after they decided to demand an indemnification from Japan. He criticized Lee Yong-Soo in particular saying “She is the most notorious”.

Professor Ramseyer writes, “Mrs Lee testified in the 1990s, ‘I left my house in secret with my friend and followed the Japanese army without thinking anything’, but she gave thoroughly different testimony later. She said ‘I was threatened with a bayonet at the age of 14 years old and I was taken away (2002)’, ‘I was abducted by the Japan army (2007) ’.”
